Since the change from PHE to UKHSA we are often publishing new content on a PHE page.

1. the page needs to be retagged as UKHSA, a simple quick process for content editors.

2. All existing PHE documents on a page need to be either rebranded in the UKHSA template (onerous) or removed and replaced by a link to an archive of the page (simple).

GOV.UK pages are continually recorded and stored to create a vast permanent ongoing archive.

All that 'archiving' means in practice is that we remove attachments to old PHE documents If we're archiving attachments from a page (just the attachments, not the whole page) we simply remove them and add a link to the UK Government Web Archive (can be found using GOV.UK Browser Extension (the little crown add on)) within the Details section. This is works as long as the attachments have been published for more than a few days, as a 'scrape' of the site will have taken place.
